If I worked in downtown Pittsburgh today I would have either taken the day off or told my boss I was going to be late. I would have been drunk by noon either way. i second that plus kirby was right it not only brought tons on money into the city but also makes pittsburgh a better place to live (in some people's mind) thus rejuvenating the city which it really needs

you still never answered my original question. What the hell is wrong with you? i dont have a juvenille obsession with football like most other meatheads in this city? i have enough enjoyable shit in my life to not have to get mounds of joy from a game. most pittsburghers dont, so i guess i somewhat understand. and yes, people got around today. but im sure it was anything but easy or fine. i would think it was great if 250,000 people showed up in the city for something. something that mattered, not a game, or a band for that matter. and as far as pride for my team/city: team- my teenager sister has a part-time job cleaning houses. she cleans several steeler's houses, and from what she's said, they're despicable people. and not just one or two individuals, basically all of them. they hit on her and the other employees constantly, and have things like rotten food and used condoms laying all over their places. so i dont have any sort of pride for shitty human beings like that. city- i hate it here. i cant wait to leave. the only good thing is the affordable housing. but that's a catch 22 because the housing is affordable due to the shitty job market and area. there's a reason this city has been hemorrhaging young people for 25 years.

Dear Andrew,
We're sorry we don't all live up to your standards and that one morning out of 364 others you'll have this year was mildly inconvenienced. But we're mostly sorry, as it has been well said, that you're a curmudgeon who hates people who are enjoying themselves.
Sincerely, The City of Pittsburgh and the Steelers
ps - Is it hard being so much better than everybody else?
-------------------------------
That said, recognizing my normal need to pass through downtown during the time of the parade in order to get to class, I found an alternative route to dodge the masses and make it where I needed to be, as opposed to whining about everyone who I see as a lesser life form.

Oh we forgot, youre above this shit. So sorry, the rest of us obviously miserable people will go back to our piddly existences that have no meaning what so ever.
Seriously, Andrew, so you ever read the shit you write and realize how much of a self important douchebag you come off as. Its one thing not to like something, but not liking it doesnt make you any better than people who do, it just makes you a bitter asshole who doesnt like something.

You forget that I lived in Pittsburgh for 25 years of my life and dealt with all sorts of shit like this. Took the bus in and out of Oakland for years. No whining from me about how stupid everyone else is. Also I live near DC. I am pretty sure that shit that happens around here is a little bit bigger than the inconveniences that happen in Pittsburgh. Sup hordes of people coming in for various rallys at least once a month. Oh yeah, and that pesky inauguration with millions of people excited and descending on the city.
That is all besides the point. The point is that YOU ARENT BETTER THAN ANYBODY stop pretending you are.
