that is good shit, my next camera was going to be a canon anyway, but now I am really looking forward to buying one, and may not buy as high end as I was going to. I have actually been debating over the Rebel, S5, or just going with one of the smaller SDxxxIS Cameras. I really want to go with the Rebel XTi but know that I don't need anything that big, but I love that camera. The S5 is probably the perfect camera for me, especially with this CHDK.

ok thanks, I will get back to you, I have to decide if I really need that much camera or not, my problem is I like to do macro shooting and the S5 or even SX100 will be better for that on a budget, but I like the quality in low light and distance shots and how fast I can take with the rebel. I am afraid that I will go broke buying lenses fo rthe thing. I have some thinking to do, when I decide I will see if you still have it. Also I can buy brand new for $450 but without the battery holder and 1gb card... Decisions... Game is coming back on now.

I am really starting to lean towards the S5 IS, plus then I can use the software that this thread was originally started for, which really kind of excites me, probably more then it should. I will keep your rebel in mind though...

I think I'm going to get the 40D next year.
Its expensive but eh, its only money. I'm going to keep my XT around as well.
Photography is an expensive hobby but eh, its better than drinking your money away like I would probably be doing.
