Your PSP and the prequel to FF7(I don't remember what it's called and too lazy to look it up) to play for a few weeks.
I seriously creamed in my pants over playing Jacob's copy on bonfire night!

Apparently! but you play as Zack and not Cloud...
I haven't played a new rpg in like 6 years so i'm really excited for this, but don't have the money to buy a PSP.

I would consider buying play station consoles just to be able to play FF games. I have FF1 for NES and FF3 for DS. They're awesome, but they're the only two FF games i've played.

Jacob was playing Crisis Core on his PSP and I was playing the original FF7 on my tv. We were both in the living room. Needless to say, the world exploded.
It looks really sweet and just hearing the sounds from it is pretty exciting.
The game is supposedly a very good representation of the original. The introductory cut scene with the fly-through of Midgar just looks so gorgeous. I'm just a solid fan of the battle system used in that FF as well as many others.
At first this was rumored to be a complete remake of the original, and I probably would've been more pleased with that, but this game seems to live up to what everyone expected.

It's only a matter of time until 7 is remade for something.

So.... I guess nobody has it/wants to let me borrow it. :(x100000000000000
Also, I would have a stroke if they remade 7, that game changed my life.

I hated the battle system in 8. I hated alot of stuff about 8. The magic system was ridiculous. The summons took a million years for the animation to finish. The story fell completely apart as it got towards the end.
6 and 7's battle system was good stuff. 12's grew on me very quickly.

Jason, I don't know if you ever tried 9, but that one has a great story and is really fun to play (it employs the older battle system and cut out the stuff that 8 added in)

9 was really good. I loved the style of the character design - that more cartoony look. The characters were great in that. Yeah, come to think of it, 9 was really freaking good.
