I don't really see the problem with this. It's just another show. IMO. This board has become one of the few places that I keep updated with shows. I would, however, like to see the standard of putting show info in the subject line. Well, as much as possible with limits. ugh, yet another national show with big name bands listed here... i admittedly would actually kind of like to see this show, but jeeze peoples, this is turning into an opus one message board.

There, I went ahead and fixed the thread title.
And I apologize for posting a show in the shows! section. I guess from now on i'll only post upcoming shows for the same 4 or 5 local bands that you see posted in here all the time.
My bad!

Seriously what the hell are you thinking posting a show that people might have interest in.
I might go to this, even though the last couple of Bouncing Souls shows I have seen have kind of been a disappointment. They always seem so bored playing now.

I've seen Bouncing Souls A couple of times and thats exactly what I thought of the last show i've seen. They kinda seemed uninterested.
Now D4 on the other hand, i've never seen.
I'm not the biggest fan these days but I still listen. They were on my list of bands to see back in the day. Just never got to.

I saw D4 3 times in October and every one was incredible.

i've tried to get into dillinger 4 a few times since alot of you guys talk about them quite frequently, but i can't seem to do it.
i'm not trying to be a dick at all, just asking an honest question: why do you guys like them so much? to me, it just sounds like another punk band. granted, punk isn't my favorite anymore, but i grew up on it and the clash is still one of my top 3 favorite bands.

D4 > than any band mentioned on this website that's fine to have that opinion, but could you at least explain it/answer my question?

or maybe i listened to the wrong songs. what album/song should i listen to? cause all i hear is a more contemporary/shittier version and blend of out come the wolves/trashed (lagwagon)/the unraveling

d4 to me sounds like a cover band of various pop punk bands from my childhood.. like the ataris, but way less tight and a bad singer... with lyrics as stagnant as nickelback's ... there's your explanation.

D4 > than any band mentioned on this website sez the guy that, by his admission, only goes to national shows and has no idea what is going on locally

D4 > than any band mentioned on this website sez the guy that, by his admission, only goes to national shows and has no idea what is going on locally Haha, I should have ended that post w/ a sarcasm tag, my bad! You're better off getting Scott or Jeffy to tell you why D4 is so good. They're a very fun pop-punk band, they put on one of the best live shows as well. I don't really understand how anyone could compare them to the Ataris (they've been around longer than them too).

Which vocalist? There are 2. As for what to listen to... I rank them like this... I think... Midwestern Songs of the Americas (1998) Situationist Comedy (2002) Versus God (2000) This Shit Is Genius (1999) Civil War (2008) Their live album is comedic genius!
