William Elliott Whitmore - Is amazing!
J-Roddy Walston and the business - looked into these guys after hearing about this show. Turns out they're really good.

Murder By Death is so great, I've never seen them live.
Willion Elliot Whitmore puts on a fantastic show. His voice and that bango create this awesome, gritty sitting on the front porch in the summer drinking whiskey feeling.

j roddy was absolutely amazing. phenomenal.
whitmore has an absolutely amazing voice, im just not a huge fan of the extremely repetitive song structure and lyrical content. it was extremely rude though of the crowd to be talking through his whole set. which, mentioning the crowd, was absolutely full of douchebags who typically would not be at any sort of show.
i was extremely disappointed by murder by death. their one of my favorite bands, but they were terrible. their new drummer is horrible, nothing like the their old, jazz-influenced drummer. nothing was solid, and the tempos were all over the place. i definitely prefer their older stuff as well, so when i looked down at their bassist's setlist and saw they were basically playing only new stuff, we left after the third song.

Thats really dissapointing to hear. I was going to go to this but got really tired at the end of the work day and opted out.
When William Elliot Whitmore played at Garfart a couple years ago he sat on the floor on a chair off of the stage, and had everyone sit in a circle around him and played his set like that. Everyone was enthralled, it was really cool. That sucks that no one seemed to listen to him last night.

I've been listening to J Roddy for a couple of weeks now, and I knew seeing them live had to great and thats where they would really shine. They were great, played all of my favorite songs, and the bass player was a FUCKING MADMAN!!!
My 4th time seeing Whitmore and he was great as usual. Afterwards I told him that his set was perfect as usual and I just wished that the people in the back would have shut the fuck up. He said simply, "I know man, I know".
I was at the garfart show you speak of and it was the same there with the assholes yukin it up, not as bad, but he had no mic or anything at that show.
Murder by death was....beats me I left after Whitmore.
