Sirens and songbirds are disbanding as of November, a member is leaving and we don't want to replace any of us. so if you want to see us one last time or always wondered what we were like live, here are the final dates:
10.24.08 (in celebration of my birthday) This show is not set since Bloomfield Bridge Tavern caught fire
w/Finding Fiction (brooklyn, ny), Media Friendly(wheeling, wv) and Signal to the Ocean Estate
11.01.08 at Smiling Moose
w/New Tomorrow (San Luis Obispo, Ca.), Aggro or die, The Alcoholocaust

first of all, thanks for the kind words and support over the last two years.
i hope to see all of our friends (and some new faces) at (at least) one of these shows. We're going to try to make them as fun as possible. i wish we were playing with more of the bands that we are friends with, but we were unable to make that happen (as this breakup was not premeditated).
However, we are playing with some pretty cool bands, so don't be discouraged from coming to a show because you haven't heard of someone...most of the bands are from out of town.
for those of you who are members of the other message boards, we would greatly appreciate it if you could mention these shows. maybe there will be some more people interested in seeing us.
thanks to all of the bands that we've played with over the last 2 years (namely Bowhunter, Ukiah, Lost Sea and Persona Grata...not to mention Flash Darlings, MaxiPads and Bridgley Moore...R.I.P.).
we are all a bit disappointed about breaking up, but hopefully some new projects will come out of this.
In less depressing news, Scott will be playing his first show with Bowhunter this Friday. If you haven't seen them yet, make sure to check them out. they're some rad dudes who make a whole-lotta grungey, dirty awesomeness.

i saw you guys that one time at the church show, and that rocked and was an awesome time.
Kobris can drum so that you don't even realize his bass head is busted. that's fucking talent right there.

sorry becki, didn't mean to ignore you. i'm down for playing it...just depends on the rest of the band. since we may only have one more show left, i'm not sure what we'll do four our setlist.
