it appears to be a show someone's created to make money off of obama's likeness
featuring dawn canon, john huffman, axelrod, and big hurry..
i think i'm going to make a "rock for legos" show or something..
so if you like legos.. i hope to see you there..

i will say this: if we lived in a society where people weren't allowed to voice their opinions and couldn't put on shows in support of something they believed in, that would mean bands like TLS wouldn't be able to play out and sing about whatever you believe in, either.

oh, i see. this is the second "rock for obama" show huffman has done. not sure where the funds go. huffman? also, to be fair, jay (axelrod's drummer) actually works for the obama capaign. i ran into him at sree's today. well that definitely changes things, especially if the profits were actually going to that campaign

you know it's fine if you're going to disagree with my stance on the topic in this thread.. but personal attacks.. i mean, are you five?
you don't know my friends. you've never met my friends. i hardly know you other than seeing you at shows and avoiding you so i don't have to get my balls grabbed... and changing my number so you can't keep texting me, asking me for a picture of my dick..
that's literally all we know of each other...
so again, if you think i'm a douche... as it pertains to the thread... and i don't care... i mean, that's fine... but i'd like to keep personal attacks on things you know nothing about, far removed from the relevant conversation

So just to clarify things, this event is for everyone who supports the Obama/Biden ticket in November. None of the bands will make a single cent off of the show as all the money donated to the show will go to directly to the campaign. That is what we did the last time before the Pennsylvania primary and I have the paperwork to prove that there was a donation made.
And yes, I do in fact work for the campaign in Fayette County, but the motivation behind this event is to keep people's awareness up of how important this race is. Pennsylvania is one of the most important states of this campaign, and even Rendell said that Southwestern PA is where Pennsylvania will be won or lost. This isn't Jay the Obama staffer saying this, this is Jay who reads a whole shitload of political analysis for fun saying this.

i'm personally really glad that it's not just a bunch of kids putting obama on a poster that says "_____ for obama" just to make a few bucks.
